I fear the day that technology will surpass our human interaction. The world will have a generation of idiots.
This is apparently an Einstein quote however I haven’t been able to find a reliable source to verify that and it’s doing the rounds on a viral so it may not be accurate but it sprang to mind when I was up in Oxford (back in 2012 when I was still a frequent visitor and not yet a resident) waiting for a bus and looked around and realised that everyone else at the bus stop were texting/messaging. Closed off from human interaction to the point where they weren’t even using their phones to talk to people anymore let alone talking to people in the real world. Is this the future? Will technology eliminate the need to meet, to talk to reach out and touch real people in the real world. I hope not.
