Biodiversity is something I’ve been interested in for a while now. We have a tendency to think and campaign about the bigger issues of conservation and the effect we have on the wildlife of the world but the balance of wildflowers and insect life also plays a big part in the preservation of life on earth and it’s good to see councils being proactive with hedgerows and verges with regard to when (and if) they cut to allow the wildflowers to bloom first and support the insects and pollinators that are reliant on them for survival. Sometimes the less we do the more we achieve.
